The Story of the film is not yet revealed, but it is purely a comedy drama. Director Faisal said about the Movie, “I wouldn’t want to talk about the film, because it’s too early”. He also said that, the idea of giving the unique title as Daawat-e-Ishq, is to create some curiosity in the people.

Even Singham Returns Has Humour: Rohit Shetty

 Rohit Shetty’s enviable box-office-record speaks for itself, but the director does not allow the number game to come in the way of his work. Allowing his films to do all the talking has always been Rohit’s style and that is why the director is not making any tall claims about his much-awaited Independence Day release Singham Returns.

  Shetty is aware that several films similar to Singham in format have come and gone in the last few years, so Singham Returns will need a lot more than people flying around.

 Shetty feels the day he will start thinking in terms of 200-Crores, the film will be a disaster. But one thing that wont change is his focus on making universal films that kids and families can watch together.

 Speaking to Indiatimes.com on the parallels between Suriya’s Singam 2 and Ajay Devgn’s Singham Returns, Rohit Shetty clarifies, "No not at all. This is not a remake. That was a different film, this is different story altogether".

The sequel adds several new members to the cast, but Singham was unique because despite being an action film there was a lot of dark humour in the villain’s character. On how he plans to treat the grey characters in Singham Retruns, Rohit assures, "Even this film has that. The villain is not the same, as we did not want to make it repetitive. But there is a lot of humor in Singham Returns as well".

While Rohit insists he does not let the 200-Crore-club pressure (his last release Chennai Express is the second biggest grosser of alltime) to interfere in his scheme of things, the trade has high hopes from this film. Singham Returns is among the five or six films that are expected to revive the box office in a year that is yet to see any record-breaking hits.

 The 10-film-wise filmmaker however argues that one cannot predict box-office records.

He adds, "You never know which film will do well. Sometimes you don’t expect a film to do that well and it does big business".

Speaking on the year so far, Rohit says, "There are years when the first half of the year is quite dull. But Holiday and 2 States have done well this year. We have been busy shooting so I don’t know much, but it happens sometimes".

Plot

Singham opens with an honest police officer in Goa, Rakesh Kadam (Sudhanshu Pandey), committing suicide because of false accusations of corruption by Jaikant Shikre (Prakash Raj), a don and politician in Goa running a kidnapping racket. Kadam's wife Megha Kadam (Sonali Kulkarni) vows revenge.

The story moves to Shivgarh, a small village near the Goa-Maharashtra border. Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgan), an honest Maratha police inspector like Kadam, is in charge of the Shivgarh police station. He resolves most of the problems in his town informally and without filing charge sheets, thereby gaining much reputation and love from the villagers. Gautam Bhosle ("Gotya," Sachin Khedekar) is an industrialist and a friend of Singham’s father Manikrao Singham (Govind Namdeo). He comes to Shivgarh with his wife and daughter Kavya (Kajal Aggarwal). Eventually Singham and Kavya fall in love with each other. Their courtship takes place through a series of comic events where she initially hates him and then has a change of heart when she sees his honest and simple nature.

Everything seems to run smoothly until Jaikant, who is given a conditional bail for a murder he committed, is required to travel to Shivgarh to sign the bail every fortnight. He, instead, sends one of his allies to do the formalities, much to the anger and rage of Singham who demands Jaikant sign the bail in person. Humiliated, Jaikant reaches Shivgarh but is unable to take any revenge on Singham fearing the wrath of villagers. Using his political contacts, he gets Singham transferred to Goa to take revenge.

Singham, unaware of Jaikant’s hand behind his transfer, joins Colva police station. His co-workers, Sub-Inspector Phadnis (Vineet Sharma), Sub-Inspector Abbas (Ankur Nayyar), Head Constable Savalkar (Ashok Saraf) hate Jaikant for his crimes but are unable to take any action because of Jaikant’s political powers. DSP Patkar (Murli Sharma), Singham's senior, is on Jaikant's payroll and takes care in concealing and eliminating the evidence of Jaikant’s crime from the eyes of the law. Singham tries to take this to the notice of DGP Vikram Pawar (Pradeep Velankar) but it turns out to be of no use as there is no evidence against Jaikant and Patkar. The local minister Anant Narvekar (Anant Jog) does not help Singham and, in turn, he warns him to stay away from Jaikant's case. Defeated Singham wants to return to his hometown but is stopped by Kavya who encourage him to fight against the evil and not run like a coward.

Being mentally tortured by Jaikant, Singham arrests Jaikant’s top lieutenant Shiva (Ashok Samarth) in a fake case of illegally smuggling alcohol. He thwarts off DSP Patkar in full view of the public when Patkar, bounded by his duties to Jaikant, tries to protect Shiva. Meanwhile, Megha Kadam, after being ridiculed by DGP Pawar and minister Narvekar for her corrupt husband’s death, seeks help from Singham to abolish the corruption charges against her husband; he obliges. Jaikant kidnaps Kavya’s younger sister for ransom. Rescuing her, Singham successfully traces the origins of the kidnapping racket to Jaikant but is unable to arrest him as he wins an election and becomes a minister of Goa.

Jaikant, sends transfer orders to Singham to go back to Shivgarh. That night at a police function organized for the officers with their family, Singham confronts the officers for not abiding to their duties and being dishonest and unfaithful to their profession by protecting Jaikant. At first, the officers disagree with Singham, but filled with guilt, the officers decide to help Singham fight Jaikant. They reach his home to kill him, with DGP Pawar and Patkar, now in support with Singham. Jaikant eventually escapes but, after running through the city, he is arrested by the police the next morning. They bring him to the police station and shoot him dead on the same chair where Inspector Rakesh Kadam shot himself. Then they threaten Shiva to change his statement. Jaikant and Minister Narvekar are proved guilty. At a media conference, DGP Pawar and Singham clear Kadam of all corruption charges.

The film ends with Singham and other police officers saluting Mrs. Kadam.

Development

The critical and commercial success of the Tamil version led to its remakes in Kannada and Bengali. The remake right for the Hindi version was bought by Bejoy Nambiar for INR1.5 crore (US$250,000), which by itself is the actual budget of the original version.

Godzilla 3D

Plot :In 1954, a United States Castle Bravo hydrogen bomb is used to destroy a giant creature surfacing from the ocean, covering it up as a nuclear bomb test. In 1999, Project Monarch scientists Ishiro Serizawa and Vivienne Graham goes to the Philippines to investigate a colossal skeleton in a collapsed mine. Two egg-shaped spores are discovered, one broken open and leaving a trail to the sea. In Japan, the Janjira Nuclear Power Plant experiences unusual seismic activity. Joe Brody, the plant's supervisor, sends his wife, Sandra, and a team of technicians into the reactor to check the sensors. When the team is inside, the reactor is breached, releasing radioactive steam. Sandra and her team are unable to escape and the plant collapses into ruin.

 Fifteen years later, Joe's son Ford is a US Navy explosive ordnance disposal officer, living in San Francisco with his wife and son. When Joe is arrested for trespassing in the Janjira quarantine zone, Ford returns to Japan. Convinced of a cover-up of the true cause of the disaster, Joe convinces Ford to accompany him to their old home inside the zone to retrieve vital seismic data he recorded. They find the zone is not contaminated, contradicting the official report. After recovering the data, soldiers appear,arrest and take them to a Monarch facility within the plant's ruins. Joe and Ford sees the creature locked up by personnel secretly in public. Soon, the colossal winged creature emerges from a massive chrysalis and flees. Joe is injured in the mayhem and later dies. The next day, media around the world covers it up as a result of an earthquake.

A US Navy task force led by Admiral William Stentz on the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga starts a search for the creature, dubbed MUTO (Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism) and Serizawa, Graham and Ford go on-board to assist. To Ford, the scientists divulge the 1954 appearance of Godzilla, an ancient alpha predator, how it was awoken by a deep sea expedition and how early nuclear tests were really attempts to kill it. They explain that Project Monarch was formed to study Godzilla in secret and describe the findings in the Philippines and the MUTO that caused the Janjira plant's destruction. Ford reveals that Joe had monitored echolocation signals that indicated the MUTO was communicating with something.

A US Army Special Forces team finds the MUTO feeding off the wreckage of a Russian nuclear submarine it deposited in a forest near Honolulu. Ford waits at Honolulu airport for a flight back to San Francisco, when a battle breaks out between the military and the MUTO. Godzilla arrives, causing a tsunami that devastates Waikiki. After briefly fighting Godzilla, the MUTO flies away. Meanwhile, at the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste repository, the second pod found has hatched into a larger, wingless female MUTO which destroys Las Vegas. The scientists conclude that the two MUTOs were communicating and will meet to breed.The task force follows Godzilla, projecting that the monsters will meet in San Francisco Bay and Stenz approves a plan to use a nuclear explosion to kill all three monsters, over the scientists' objections. Ford returns with the military to California and joins a team delivering warheads to San Francisco by train. After the female MUTO destroys the train, the one remaining warhead is airlifted to San Francisco and is armed. It's taken by the male MUTO and the female MUTO constructs a nest around it in the downtown area.

The military fails to stop Godzilla when it arrives at the Golden Gate Bridge, and later pulls back to allow the monsters to fight. During the ensuing battle between the monsters, Ford and a team of soldiers enter the city by HALO jump on a mission to disarm the warhead. When they fail, they take the warhead onto a boat for disposal at sea. Ford incinerates the nest, causing the female to leave the battle in a rage. Godzilla then uses its tail to smash the male MUTO into a building, killing him. The female MUTO wipes out the team on the boat, but before she can kill Ford, Godzilla kills her using its atomic breath. With the fight over, Godzilla collapses from exhaustion. Ford pilots the boat out to sea, and is rescued by a helicopter before the warhead detonates.

Godzilla 3D

In August 2004, Yoshimitsu Banno, who had directed 1971's Godzilla vs. Hedorah, announced that he had secured the rights from Toho to make a Godzilla IMAX 3D short film at his Advanced Audiovisual Productions (AAP) production company. The film was tentatively titled Godzilla 3D to the Max, and was to be a remake of the Godzilla vs. Hedorah story.[31] In 2005, American cinematographer Peter Anderson was added to the project as cinematographer, visual effects supervisor and co-producer.[31] In 2007, American producer Brian Rogers signed on to the project after Anderson introduced him to Banno and AAP producer Kenji Okuhira. In 2007, also through Anderson, Kerner Optical then came on board to develop the technology and to produce the 3-D film.[31] And with Kerner's backing, in the fall of 2007 the team met with Toho in Tokyo where they re-negotiated their license to allow the release of a feature-length 3-D theatrical production.

In 2008, Kerner was facing financial troubles that threatened to cancel the production. Rogers, Anderson and the then-proposed director Keith Melton met with Legendary Pictures to get their backing on a 3-D theatrical film. In 2009, it was green-lit by Legendary to go to production.[32] From the AAP production team, Banno and Okuhira would remain on the project as executive producers and Rogers as a producer. In November 2013, Banno stated that he still planned to make a sequel to Godzilla vs. Hedorah.

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania

Sprightly and talented Alia Bhatt, who has sung the unplugged version of "Main Tainu Samjhawan Ki", not only wants to pursue singing in films, but also dreams of cutting an album one day.

She has corooned the song for "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" and her dad Mahesh Bhatt praised her talent, saying "she is a raw and wild diamond, a wild flower". "If I get an opportunity, I would love to sing. I really enjoy singing. But I would like to take singing forward. I wouldn't want to restrict myself to singing for films alone, I want to cut an album of my own one day," the 21-year-old said here.

Bhatt was also present in the audience. He loves the rawness of Alia's voice and hopes she never attends any formal training. "Her unique point is being untrained. I fear people misleading her and sending her to a training school. She is a raw and wild diamond, a wild flower, which is beautiful in this way only and it should remain this way," Bhatt said.

 The song, originally sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, has also been sung by Arijit Singh for the film. For "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" Alia has teamed up with Varun Dhawan and their second film together hits theatres July 11.
