Pizza

Pizza (Hindi: पिज़्ज़ा) is an upcoming Indian Hindi supernatural thriller film written and directed by debutant, Akshay Akkineni. The film features Akshay Oberoi, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Dipannita Sharma in lead roles, while Arunoday Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Omkar Das Manikpuri and Sonali Sachdev play supporting roles. The film is a namesake remake of 2012–Tamil hit, Pizza, directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

Plot

Kunal, a Pizza delivery boy, was sent to make a delivery of Pizza at a home of a family full of Dark Secret. The crux of the story is about how will Kunal be able to overcome this situation with twists and turns.

Development

The critical and commercial success of the Tamil version led to its remakes in Kannada and Bengali. The remake right for the Hindi version was bought by Bejoy Nambiar for INR1.5 crore (US$250,000), which by itself is the actual budget of the original version.

The cast include Akshay Oberoi, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Dipannita Sharma, Arunoday Singh, Rajesh Sharma, D'santosh, Hussain Dalal, Omkar Das Manikpuri and Sonali Sachdev.

Crew

The film which is being directed by debutante, Akshay Akkineni, is the son of veteran editor and multiple National Film Award winner, A. Sreekar Prasad. Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Bejoy Nambiar, the film features music by Mickey McCleary, Saurabh Kalsi, Shamir Tandon and the background score by noted Tamil composer K.

Filming

The film which has been shot in 3D, has been completed.

Marketing

An 88–second official teaser trailer on 2 April 2014. and 2 minute 25 second official full trailer on 22 May 2014 of the film was released in YouTube through Official Channel of UTV Motion Pictures.

Release

The film is set to release on 18 July 2014.
